Learn to create both meaningful group experiences and compelling Digital Stories with up to 8 participants.
Level-2 Training Overview
This advanced training will provide you all the theory and practice needed to organize and facilitate group Digital Storytelling workshops. After two days of advanced technical and theoretical training, participants will be put in pairs and together plan and facilitate a Digital Storytelling workshop and screening with the support of a Common Language Trainer. Each participant will gain both a deeper understanding of group DST facilitation principles and the valuable experience of planning and facilitating their own workshop from start to finish.
Level-2 Training Outline
Session #1-2 (16hrs) - Learn: Technical and Theoretical Foundations of Group Digital Storytelling Facilitation
Session #3 (3hrs) - Practice 1: Co-facilitate an Online Introduction to DST Webinar
Session #4-5 (20hrs) - Practice 2: Co-Facilitate a Weekend Workshop with a group of your choosing
Session #6 (8hrs) - Practice 3: Debrief of workshops, post-production, batch processing of stories, and planning for Digital Story Screenings
Session #7 (2hrs) - Practice 4: Organize and Facilitate a Public Digital Story Screening
Session #8 (3hrs) - Debrief of Workshop & Preparing for What’s Next
Course Details
Pre-requisites: Level 1 Training Completed, Facilitated at least 15 Digital Stories in a one-on-one setting.

Class Size: Maximum 2 Trainees
Cost: $3,350 for 56 hours of instruction/support, all training materials, and equipment to facilitate a DST workshop (MacBook Pro computers, scanners, microphones, royalty-free stock image and music access,
